Privacy policy for Device Debug

This is the privacy policy for the Device Debug application. Device Debug extracts Android device information and shows that information to the user. To extract all the necessary information, the app uses some restricted Android permissions. Device Debug does not collect nor disclose any personally identifiable information.

Categories of personal data the app wants to collect and process

The app extracts information from the user’s device and shows the information to the user. The user can initiate sharing of that information to third parties if he or she wants. The sharing is always done manually by the user through the “Email” and “Write to file” sharing features provided in the app. No automatic sharing of information is done by the app.

The app requests the following Android permissions:

CAMERA

Required for reading the camera parameters.

The app shows information about the device cameras in the Data section of the app. The permission is required to read the camera specifications.

READ_LOGS

Required for reading the device log. The log contents is be shown to the user within the app. The user can share the log contents with the “Email” and “Write to file” sharing features.

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Required for writing the device information to a file. The user can share the device information written to the file with the “Email” and “Write to file” sharing features.

Data disclosure to third parties

Device Debug does not share any data to third parties, all data sharing outside of the user’s device is done manually by the user.

Deletion of data

User can delete the all data related to Device Debug by uninstalling the application and deleting the files written with the “Write to file” feature with their selected file browser application.
